Sightings Spring 2026 – March 2026

Regular sightings for March 2026.

March is the month where everything changes. Expect life at the Salt Marsh to pick up with arrivals of Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, Fish Crows, and Double-crested Cormorants. A Great Egret often arrives in March. Early migrants often include Eastern Phoebe and Golden-crowned Kinglets. The American Robin population will also grow.

Winter forest life will continue with continuing hawks and owls. Woodpeckers will thrive in the seasonal change. Dark-eyed Juncos will prepare for departure.
