Regular sightings during the month of July 2024.
In July, activity in the marshes pick up with frequent sightings of Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Black-crowned Night Herons, several types of gulls, and waterfowl. Juveniles are present as well.
The Eastern Kingbird arrives on the peninsula. Read more in this post from July 2023.
In late July, the Wild Bird Fund released a recovered Least Bittern into the main marsh. Image in gallery below.
