Sightings of common and migratory birds in October 2024.
Birds expected at Inwood Hill Park in October include kinglets, Carolina Wrens, Hermit Thrushes, migrating warblers, White-throated Sparrows, and Dark-eyed Juncos.
Park regulars such as Northern Cardinals, American Robins, Blue Jays, and woodpeckers will likely be present.
Raptor activity will likely increase. An American Kestrel has been visiting the fields and marsh areas.

At the Salt Marsh, look for the continuing Great Blue Heron, a Green Heron, and Belted Kingfishers in addition to the ducks and gulls.
